Limestone's Dance Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College guard Shaq Dance has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 1-7, the conference announced today.
Dance, a junior from Garner, N.C., averaged 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and four assists en route to a 2-0 week for the Saints and his second Conference Carolinas weekly award.
Dance scored 18 points in a 64-52 win over North Greenville to start his week. He added four assists, three boards, two steals and one block to his game totals. In an encore performance against Belmont Abbey, Dance would post a 20-10 double-double in a 64-59 win, as he scored 23 points on 7-for-13 shooting and pulled down 12 rebounds.
Dance's 17.9 points per game ranks third in Conference Carolinas, while his 40 blocks ranks first and his 5.9 rebounds per game ranks eighth.
