Limestone's Kretzschmar Named Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College outside hitter Bruno Kretzschmar has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Mar. 7-13, the conference announced today.
Kretzschmar, a junior from Balneario Camboriu, Santa Catarina, led the Saints to a 2-1 week after posting 45 kills for a 4.09 kills per set average and .304 hitting percentage. He would also tally 12 digs and four service aces.
The week would start with a 3-1 loss to Saint Francis, but Kretzschmar would knock home 14 kills to go with six digs in the contest. He would follow that up with an 18-kill performance in a 3-0 win over Eastern Mennonite and close the week with a 13-kill outing in a 3-1 win over Marymount (Va.).
Kretzschmar ranks third in Conference Carolinas in kills (249), kills per set (4.22) and service aces (24).
