Erskine's Davey's and North Greenville's Garner Named Conference Carolinas Baseball Players of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Erskine College's Chaz Davey was recognized as the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week, while North Greenville University's Ethan Garner earned Conference Carolinas Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played the week of Mar. 7-13, the conference announced today.
A freshman from North Augusta, S.C., Davey paced the Flying Fleet offense to a 3-2 record. The third baseman would bat .615 with 16 hits (6 doubles) and eight RBI. His top performance was a 3-for-6 outing with a homer and four RBI in a 28-6 win over King.
Garner, a freshman from Jefferson, Ga., threw eight shutout innings against Mount Olive to help lead the Crusaders to a 5-0 win over the Trojans. The frosh would scatter five hits while fanning five batters.
