King's Poswiat Named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University's Moritz Poswiat was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played the week of Mar. 7-13, the conference announced today.
Poswiat, a junior from Wuppertal Germany, went a combined 7-0 in singles and doubles play and led King to a perfect 4-0 week. Against Davis & Elkins, Poswiat would take his No. 1 singles flight with a score of 6-4, 6-4 and notched an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles. He would follow it up with an 8-5 No. 1 doubles and 3-6, 7-5, 10-8 No. 1 singles wins over Roosevelt. Poswiat would have a light day against Saint Joseph's (Ind.) as he picked up a 6-1 No. 1 doubles win. Poswiat would close out the week with wins at No. 1 singles (7-6 (7-4), 6-0) and doubles (8-4) over Limestone.
