Pfeiffer's Spencer and Asbury Named Conference Carolinas Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University’s Kylie Spencer and Jessica Asbury have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, the conference announced today.
A sophomore from Pleasant Garden, N.C., Spencer posted a pair of top 10 finishes for the Falcons at the Coastal Carolina Invite. She would notch a ninth-place finish in the 1500m run with a time of 4:50.83, while placing 10th in the 800m with a time of 2:22.58.
Asbury, a sophomore from Kelseyville, Calif., turned in a 13th-place finish in the javelin throw for the Falcons with a distance of 35.46m.
