Belmont Abbey College's Albrecht Named Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College outside hitter Nolan Albrecht has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Mar. 14-20, the conference announced today.
Albrecht, a senior from Naperville, Ill., led Belmont Abbey to a pair of 3-1 wins last week against Charleston (W.V.) and Limestone. In the two matches he tallied 46 kills for a 5.75 kills per set average and impressive .453 hitting percentage with 17 digs.
Against Charleston (W.V.), Albrecht would put away 27 kills on a .615 hitting clip for a 6.75 kills per set average while adding seven digs. Albrecht would follow the performance up with a double-double against Limestone, recording 19 kills and 10 digs.
Albrecht ranks first in Conference Carolinas in kills (362), kills per set (5.10), points (402) and points per set (5.7). This is his third Conference player of the week award of the season.
