Pfeiffer's Miller and Mount Olive's Poppe Named Conference Carolinas Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University's Jazmine Miller and University of Mount Olive's Nichole Poppe have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, the conference announced today.

A senior from Richmond, Va., Miller collected three top-15 finishes over the weekend for the Falcons at the Wingate Invitational. She would place second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.11, while also finishing 8th in the 400m dash with a time of 1:01.64. She would cap her weekend with a 15th-place finish in the 100m with a time of 13.10.

Poppe, a senior from Youngsville, N.C., broke the Mount Olive discus record of 37.38m at the Wingate Invitational after registering a distance of 38.09m.
