Limestone's Messenger Named Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College midfielder Mike Messenger has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 11-17, the conference announced today.
Messenger, a senior from Surrey, British Columbia, tallied eight goals and five assists for 13 points and led the No. 1 Saints to a pair of road wins over ranked opponents. In a 25-6 win over No. 15 Belmont Abbey, Messenger would tie a career-high with 10 points on six goals and four assists while scooping up five ground balls. He would follow that performance with two goals and a helper for three points in a 18-7 win over No. 8 Lake Erie.
Messenger ranks second in Conference Carolinas with 42 goals, while ranking third in points (62) and seventh in assists (20). This is Messenger's second Conference Carolinas weekly award of the season.
