Limestone Wins 2016 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Limestone College Saints captured the 2016 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday (Apr. 19) afternoon. Pfeiffer University's Amanda Floberg was crowned the 2016 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Medalist. The 2016 tournament was hosted by Belmont Abbey College at Bryan Park in Greensboro, N.C.

The Saints would claim their third straight tournament title after shooting a +58 for the tournament, which was 15 strokes better than runner-up Pfeiffer's +73.
Pfeiffer's Floberg would enter the final round of play in a tie for fifth, but would shoot a 69 on the final 18 to turn in a three-day total of 224. She would beat Limestone's Taylor McInnis, who entered the day leading the field, by one stroke.
Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College and Southern Wesleyan University are currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
