Erskine Claims Top Seed in 2016 Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Championship

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Erskine College will be the No. 1 seed in the 2016 Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Championship after officially wrapping up a regular season championship on Monday (Apr. 25) afternoon. The Flying Fleet posted a perfect 11-0 record in Conference Carolinas action.

The University of Mount Olive and Limestone College each finished the season 9-2 in conference play, with the Trojans capturing the No. 2 seed and Saints earning the No. 3 seed due to tiebreakers. Pfeiffer University was tabbed the No. 4 seed with its 8-2 Conference Carolinas record. North Greenville University locked up the No. 5 seed with a 7-4 record and Belmont Abbey College claimed the No. 6 seed with a 4-7 record in conference. Rounding out the bracket is King University (3-8) and Converse College (2-9) at No. 7 and No. 8, respectively.

The 2016 Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Championship will be hosted by Erskine College on Apr. 29 - May 1, at Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.
