Limestone's Messenger Named Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College midfielder Mike Messenger has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 18-24, the conference announced today.

A senior from Surrey, British Columbia, Messenger posted a 12-point week for the No. 1 Saints and helped lead them to a Conference Carolinas regular season championship. In a 26-5 win over Lees-MCRae, he would score four times and dish two assists for six points. Messenger would turn around and post six points on three goals and three helpers and six ground balls in the Saints' 20-6 rout of No. 7 Mount Olive for the regular season crown.

Messenger concluded the regular season ranked second in the Conference in goals (49), while his 74 points ranked third and his 25 assists were fifth. This marks Messenger's second Conference Carolinas weekly award in as many weeks and third overall.

Also nominated for Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week: Adam Wiedemann (Belmont Abbey) and Kyle Pauwels (Pfeiffer)
