North Greenville's van Eck Named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – North Greenville University's Sjors van Eck was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played the week of Mar. 28 - Apr. 3, the conference announced today.

A sophomore from Ospel, Netherlands, van Eck posted a combined 4-0 record in singles and doubles and led the Crusaders to a 2-0 record last week. Against Southern Wesleyan, van Eck would go 2-0 on the day with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles and 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles. The week would end with a 6-1, 6-1 No. 1 singles and 8-5 No. 3 doubles win over Belmont Abbey.

Also nominated for Men's Tennis Player of the Week: Yaxi Pintado (Barton), Jose Luis Cortijos (Mount Olive) and Lenny Keswani (King)
