Conference Carolinas Announces Men's Volleyball All-Academic Team
High Point, N.C. – Conference Carolinas announce the 2016 Academic All-Conference Team for Men's Volleyball. The conference and its member institutions stress the importance of "Academics and Athletics Working Together" and the student-athletes named to Academic All-Conference teams are those who best represent this value.
The 18 young men listed below are all juniors and seniors who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The GPA is calculated based on the student-athlete's cumulative average through the previous semester. Each of Conference Carolinas' twenty sponsored sports has its own Academic All-Conference team, recognized as the regular season comes to a close. In addition to the GPA and class-standing requirements, student-athletes must have attended their member institution for at least one full academic year.
The quarterfinals for men's volleyball will begin on Saturday, April 16 and will be hosted at the higher seeds. The semifinals and finals, set for April 22 and 23 respectively, will be hosted by the highest remaining seed at the conclusion of the first round. For updated information on seeding, schedules, and results, follow the tournament action on the Men's Volleyball website - Championship Central.
