Conference Carolinas Announces Mens and Women's Golf Academic All-Conference
High Point, N.C. – Conference Carolinas announces the 2016 Academic All-Conference team for Men's and Women's Golf. The conference and its member institutions stress the importance of "Academics and Athletics Working Together" and the student-athletes named to Academic All-Conference teams are those who best represent this value.
The 33 student-athletes listed below are all juniors and seniors who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The GPA is calculated based on the student-athlete's cumulative average through the previous semester. Each of Conference Carolinas' twenty sponsored sports has its own Academic All-Conference team, recognized as the regular season comes to a close. In addition to the GPA and class-standing requirements, student-athletes must have attended their member institution for at least one full academic year.
The championships for Men's and Women's Golf will be hosted by Belmont Abbey on the "Champions" Course at Bryan Park in Greensboro, NC. The tournament is set for April 17-19 and will include an awards banquet on April 18. For updated information the tournament and results, follow the action on the new Conference Carolinas Golf Championship website.
