58 Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track and Field Athletes Named Division II All-Region Honorees

NEW ORLEANS, LA. — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the All-Region honorees for the 2016 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season on Wednesday.

To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-five of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-three relay team.

Conference Carolinas had 58 individuals, 34 men and 24 women, receive southeast all-region honors. Of the 58, 15 men received all-region honors in multiple events, while seven women received multiple all-region recognition.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College and Southern Wesleyan University are currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
