Limestone's Machado Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College midfielder Gui Machado has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 12-18, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Machado led the No. 14 Saints to a 2-0 week in Conference Carolinas play with wins over Mount Olive and Belmont Abbey.  He would score two goals and dish out one assist.

In a 4-0 win against the Trojans, Machado would dish out an assist and take three shots, placing two on goal. The senior would find the back of the net twice in a 3-1 win over Belmont Abbey, which included the game-winner.

Machado's five goals and three game-winning goals rank first in Conference Carolinas, while his 11 points are good enough for third.
