Converse's Waitrovich Named Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Converse College goalkeeper Josee Waitrovich has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 12-18, the Conference announced today.

Waitrovich, a junior from Waupaca, Wis., led the Valkyries to a 2-0 week after posting two shutouts and making 11 saves in 180 minutes of action. Her two wins would solidify her as the winningest goalkeeper in Converse women's soccer history.

In a 5-0 trouncing of Francis Marion, Waitrovich would post four saves in 90 minutes of work. Against Conference Carolinas foe King, the junior would notch seven saves in 90 minutes of action.

Waitrovich ranks first in Conference Carolinas in wins (3) and shutouts (2), while ranking third in saves (41).
