Mount Olive's Hanle and Craig Named Conference Carolinas Runners of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Leah Hanle and Adam Craig have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s and Men’s Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the conference announced today.
Hanle, a freshman from Lichtenstein, Germany, placed fourth out of 244 runners in the Division II Challenge, which paced the Trojans to a fifth-place team finish. In a field featuring one top 25 team and 12 regionally ranked teams, Hanle would run the second-fastest 6K in Mount Olive history with a time of 22:42.9.
A junior from Lauder, Scotland, Craig posted an individual win for the No. 17 Trojans at the Division II Challenge, which led the team to a team title. In a loaded field featuring eight regionally ranked teams, including two top 25 teams, Craig dominated with a 8K time of 25:15.4. His time placed him with a 24.5-second advantage over second-place.
