Limestone's Machado Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College midfielder Gui Machado has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 19-25, the Conference announced today.

Machado, a senior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, posted six points on three goals and led the No. 14 Saints to a pair of Conference Carolinas wins over Lees-McRae and North Greenville. Machado's stellar play has propelled the Saints to a tie for the best start in program history at 7-0 overall.

Against the Bobcats, Machado would find the back of the net twice on four shots in a 4-2 win, while scoring once on four shots in a 4-0 win over the Crusaders.

Machado's eight goals and 17 points rank him at the top of the Conference Carolinas statistical standings.
