Limestone's Murphy Named Men's Lacrosse Preseason Player of the Year
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College's Zacharia Murphy has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Preseason Player of the Year. Murphy becomes the first Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse player to receive the honor.
Murphy, a highly-touted five-star freshman attack from Gaffney, S.C., will begin his rookie campaign after coming to Limestone from Team IMPACT. He is joining a Saints team that was tabbed the preseason No. 1 team in Conference Carolinas and is coming off a third consecutive NCAA Division II National Championship Game appearance.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College is currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
