Three Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Teams Ranked in USILA/Nike Preseason Poll
PERRY, N.Y. – The Limestone College Saints, Belmont Abbey College Crusaders and University of Mount Olive Trojans each earned spots in the top 20 of the USILA/Nike Division II Preseason Coaches Poll, it was announced recently.
Limestone enters the 2017 season ranked No. 2 in the nation after coming off a third straight NCAA Division II National Championship Game appearance. The Saints set the NCAA Division II record with 21 wins a season ago, with their only blemish coming in the national title game.
Belmont Abbey and Mount Olive enter 2017 tied for 10th in the poll. The Crusaders are coming off a 2016 season that saw them go 12-4. The Trojans received the program's first-ever bid to the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship in 2016 after going 13-5.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College is currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
