Barton's Dean Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College forward Karimah Dean has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 26 - Jan. 1, the Conference announced today.
A junior from Greensboro, N.C., Dean posted a monster double-double in Barton's 76-52 win over St. Augustine's last week. She would have a career day, recording 20 points on 10-for-17 shooting and snatching 17 rebounds to go along with four steals.
Dean is averaging 7.6 points and 7.5 rebounds on the season. Her 75 total rebounds rank sixth in Conference Carolinas, while her 7.5 rebounds per game rank just outside the top 10 at 11th in the league.
