Limestone's Stewart Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College guard Shaun Stewart has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 26 - Jan. 1, the Conference announced today.
A senior from Indian Trail, S.C., Stewart lifted the Saints to a narrow 83-81 win over Lander with a 30-point performance on 12-for-19 shooting, including 3-for-5 from three-point range. He would also add nine assists, five rebounds and one steal to his stat line.
Stewart is averaging 19.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game this season. His 19.9 points rank second in Conference Carolinas, while the 3.8 assists is good enough for fourth in the league.
