Mount Olive's Hanle and Moncrief Named Conference Carolinas Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive duo of Leah Hanle and Taylor Moncrief have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for meets held Jan. 23-29, the conference announced today.
A freshman from Lichtenstein, Germany, Hanle found the top of the podium at the UNCG Dual Meet Madness event hosted by UNC Greensboro. She would win the mile run with a time of 4:59.85, which is also an NCAA provisional qualifying time.
Moncrief, a freshman from Jacksonville, N.C., placed in the top-five in the triple jump for the Trojans at the UNCG Dual Meet Madness event hosted by UNC Greensboro. She would record a jump of 11.15 meters to take fifth in the event.
