Mount Olive's Poole Named Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive opposite hitter Robert Poole has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 6-8, the Conference announced today.
Hailing from Enfield, England, Poole opened the season with a pair of impressive performances in the UCSB Asics Invitational. He averaged 4.43 kills per set and hit .250 as the Trojans dropped a pair of matches against top 15 teams.
Poole opened the year with 14 kills and a .226 hitting percentage against No. 9 Stanford. He then tallied a team-high 17 kills and a .270 hitting percentage to go along with a pair of service aces as the Trojans took a set in their four-set loss to No. 12 UCSB.
Poole ranks first in Conference Carolinas with 31 total kills and his 4.43 kills per set.
