Chowan University's Carolina Lucci Named Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University forward Carolina Lucci has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played the week of Oct. 2 - 8, the Conference announced today. This is Lucci's third POTW honor this year.
Lucci, a freshman from Monaca, Pa., further secured her spot as the leading scorer in the league by netting 3 goals in 2 games last week.
One of those goals, along with 2 assists, came during Chowan's 5-0 shutout of Lincoln University. Her other 2 goals came as she led the way to a 2-0 win over King University on Saturday.
Lucci currently tops the Conference Carolinas statistical standings in both points (27) and goals (12).
