Limestone's Smith Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College guard Keidra Smith has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 10-12, the Conference announced today.
A senior from Mebane, N.C., Smith paced the Saints to a pair of wins over Newberry and Coker in the Conference Carolinas/South Atlantic Conference Challenge. In the two games Smith averaged a double-double of 21.5 points and 10 rebounds and two assists.
In an 90-74 blowout of Newberry, Smith registered 23 points on 8-for-15 shooting, with four treys on seven attempts, and eight rebounds. A day later against Coker, Smith would tally 20 points, with 10 coming in the fourth quarter, to go with 12 boards to lead Limestone to a 62-52 victory.
