Mount Olive's Poole Named Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive right side hitter Robert Poole has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Feb. 6-12, the Conference announced today.
Poole, a junior from Enfield, England, averaged 5.57 kills per set and hit .391 to go with 12 digs to keep Mount Olive atop the Conference Carolinas standings after posting a 2-0 record last week.
Against North Greenville, Poole put away 20 kills and hit .424 with seven digs, three blocks and two service aces to lead Mount Olive to a 3-1 victory. In a sweep of Limestone, Poole hit .361 and notched 19 kills with five digs.
Poole is averaging 3.83 kills per set and hitting .267 on the season. He ranks first in the league in kills (134), kills per set (3.83), points (157.0) and points per set (4.5), while ranking second in service aces (17) and third in service aces per set (.49).
