Mount Olive's Dahlke and Pfeiffer's Chavers Named Conference Carolinas Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Jonathan Dahlke and Pfeiffer University's Matt Chavers have been named the Conference Carolinas Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for meets held Feb. 6-12, the Conference announced today.
A junior from Cologne, Germany, Dahlke had a great performance for the Trojans at the Finn Pincus Invitational hosted by Roanoke College. He would post an NCAA Provisional qualifying mark in the 5000 meter run with a time of 14:37.60, which earned him a first-place finish and new Mount Olive record.
Chavers, a junior from Culpepper, Va., picked up a first-place finish in the weight throw for the Falcons at the Finn Pincus Invitational hosted by Roanoke College. He would set a new Pfeiffer record with his throw of 16.57 meters.
