Limestone Leads a Trio of Conference Carolinas Teams in First NCAA Women's Basketball Southeast Regional Poll

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College led the way for Conference Carolinas in the first set of NCAA Southeast Regional Women's Basketball Rankings, the NCAA announced recently.

The Saints (21-3 in DII) landed at No. 4 in the initial rankings. Also representing Conference Carolinas was King University and University of Mount Olive. The Tornado (18-6 in DII) appeared at No. 8, while the Trojans (18-5 in DII) are ranked 10th in the Southeast.

The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College is currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
