Pfeiffer's Clark Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University guard A.J Clark has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Feb 13-19, the Conference announced today. This marks Clark's second Conference POTW and third for Pfeiffer.

Clark, a senior from Burlington, N.C., propelled the Falcons into first place of the Conference Carolinas standings after going 2-0 last week. He averaged 29 points on 66.7 percent shooting from the field and dished out four assists a game.

In a 110-101 win over Belmont Abbey, Clark poured in 34 points with four assists and shot better than 70 percent from the field and three-point range. In a clash between the top two teams in the league, Clark scored 24 points, dished four dimes and collected two steals as Pfeiffer knocked off Limestone 82-76.

Clark averages 22 points and 4.2 assists per game on the season. His points and assists per game both rank second in Conference Carolinas.
