North Greenville's Finley and Fort Named Conference Carolinas Softball Players of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – North Greenville University's Shayna Finley was named the Conference Carolinas Softball Player of the Week, while teammate Brooklyn Fort was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played Feb. 13-19, the Conference announced today.

Finley, a senior from Spartanburg, S.C., led the Crusaders to a 4-2 week after batting .450 with nine hits, including a double and four home runs, and seven RBI. In her best outing of the week, Finley would go 3-for-4 against Tusculum with a home run and two RBI.

A freshman from New Zion, S.C., Fort posted a 3-0 record after throwing 21 innings of work with 19 strikeouts and a .67 ERA. Fort's best outing came in a 3-0 victory over Tusculum, as she threw a complete game shutout with eight K's and scattering three hits.
