Pfeiffer's O'Friel Named Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University midfielder Molly O'Friel has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 20-26, the Conference announced today.
A junior from Chesapeake Beach, Md., O'Friel posted 10 points (6g, 4a) on the week and led the Falcons to a 2-0 record. She would also scoop up eight ground balls, cause five turnovers and collect four draw controls on the week.
In a 10-8 victory over North Greenville, O'Friel scored three goals on three shots while handing out two assists and scooping up three ground balls. O'Friel would then stuff the stat sheet in a 12-10 win over Tusculum, tallying five points (3g, 2a) with five ground balls, four caused turnovers and four draw controls.
O'Friel has registered 19 points on 13 goals and six assists on this season. She ranks sixth in Conference Carolinas in goals, while ranking seventh in assists and ninth in points.
