Southern Wesleyan's Lewis and Lees-McRae's Boswell Named Conference Carolinas Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Southern Wesleyan University's Jami Lewis and Lees-McRae College's Mekayla Boswell have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for meets held Jan. 30 - Feb. 5, the conference announced today.

Lewis, a freshman from Stafford,Va., notched a pair of first-place finishes for the Warriors at the Buccaneer Invitational hosted by East Tennessee State University. She would claim the title in the 400 meter dash with a time of 57.47, while also leading the SWU 4x400 meter relay team to a first-place finish with a time of 3:52.40.

A senior from Mocksville, N.C., Boswell placed in the top-10 in the high jump for the Bobcats at the Buccaneer Invitational hosted by East Tennessee State University. She would record a jump of 1.58 meters to take eighth in the event.
