51 Basketball Athletes Named Academic All-Conference

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Conference Carolinas announced the 51 student-athletes named to the Men's and Women's Basketball Academic All-Conference Teams today. The conference and its member institutions stress the importance of "Academics and Athletics Working Together" and the student-athletes on each Academic All-Conference team exemplify this commitment.

The 51 student-athletes listed below were named to the 2016 Conference Carolinas Men's and Women's Basketball Academic All-Conference Teams for maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The GPA is calculated based on the student-athlete's cumulative average through the previous semester. Academic All-Conference Teams are comprised of juniors and seniors who play in at least one of Conference Carolina's twenty sponsored sports, and who have attened their member institution for at least one academic year.

The Academic All-Conference Team is released each year as the regular season comes to a close, as part of the kick-off for championships. Women's Basketball semifinals and finals will began on Thursday, March 2 and conclude the following day. The Men's Tournament is set for March 4-5.
