Belmont Abbey's Beinlich Named NCBWA Southeast Hitter of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College's Nick Beinlich has been named the NCBWA Southeast Hitter of the Week, as selected by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
A senior from Easton, Pa., Beinlich batted .625 with 10 hits and led the Crusaders to a 4-0 week. Of the 10 hits, six were of the extra-base variety, including four home runs. Beinlich would also score 10 runs while driving in 11 RBI. He went 3-for-5 with three homers and five RBI in a 17-13 win over Barton for his best outing of the week.
Beinlich ranks first in Conference Carolinas in home runs (13), stolen bases (14) and total bases (85), while ranking second in hits (40), third in RBI (31) and sixth in batting average (.392).

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College is currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
