Southern Wesleyan's Barton and Bush Named Conference Carolinas Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Southern Wesleyan University duo of Amy Barton and Olivia Bush have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for meets held Mar. 13-19, the Conference announced today.
Barton, a junior from Clemson, S.C., posted a pair of top-three finishes for the Warriors at the USF Bulls Invitational hosted by the University of South Florida. She would notch a third-place finish in the 400 meter dash with a time of 55.60, while also finishing third in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:52.84.
A senior from Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., Bush picked up a top-three finish at the USF Bulls Invitational hosted by the University of South Florida. She posted an NCAA Provisional mark with a javelin throw of 41.20 meters, which earned her a third-place finish in the event.
