Limestone's Hill and Smith Named Conference Carolinas Softball Players of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College's Caroline Hill was named the Conference Carolinas Softball Player of the Week, while Limestone College's Courtney Smith was named Conference Carolinas Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played Mar. 20-26, the Conference announced today.
A senior from Inman, S.C., Hill posted 10 hits, including four extra-base knocks, for a .417 batting average to go with 11 RBI and led the No. 22 Saints to a 6-2 week. Her top performance was a 2-for-3 day against Southern Wesleyan in a 9-1 win, where she tallied five RBI on a triple and a homer.
Smith, a junior from Bluffton, S.C., picked up three complete game wins last week, throwing 20 innings of work with 17 strikeouts and notching a .35 ERA.
