No. 2 Seed Limestone Wins 2017 Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship
HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Limestone College Saints claimed the 2017 Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship on Sunday (Mar. 5) afternoon after defeating No. 4 seed King University by a score of 76-70.
The victory notches Limestone an automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship.
The Saints will find out its 2017 NCAA tournament seeding tonight on the NCAA Selection Show. In the mix for at-large bid is Pfeiffer University, who is regionally ranked No. 6 in the Southeast.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College is currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
