Belmont Abbey's Wiedemann Named Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College attack Adam Wiedemann has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 27 - Mar. 5, the Conference announced today.
Wiedemann, a junior from Caledon East, Ontario, collected 11 points (7g, 4 a) for the Crusaders last week and led them to a 2-0 record.
In a 14-6 win over then-No. 19 Queens, Wiedemann notched six points on three goals and three assists to go with three ground balls. As an encore, he would score four goals and hand out one helper to lead Belmont Abbey to an 18-8 conference win over Pfeiffer.
Wiedemann has 22 points (14g, 8a) on the season for Belmont Abbey. He ranks first in Conference Carolinas in points, while ranking third in both goals and assists.
