King's Riddle and Limestone's Weber Named Conference Carolinas Softball Players of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University's Hannah Riddle was named the Conference Carolinas Softball Player of the Week, while Limestone College's Josie Weber was named Conference Carolinas Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played Feb. 27 - Mar. 5, the Conference announced today.
Riddle, a junior from Greeneville, Tenn., had an epic week at the plate for the Tornado, hitting .765 while collecting 13 hits. She would tally seven extra-base hits, including five doubles, and drive in nine RBI on the week. Riddle's best outing would be a 5-for-5 performance in a 25-0 win over West Virginia Tech, where she hit three doubles, one homer and posted seven RBI.
A junior from Stanley, N.C., Weber went the distance last week in a 3-1 win over Carson-Newman. The right-hander gave up three hits and allowed one run but punched out eight batters in seven innings.
