Belmont Abbey's Wiedemann Named Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College attack Adam Wiedemann has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 17-23, the Conference announced today. This marks his third POTW honor and the fifth for Belmont Abbey.

Wiedemann, a junior from Caledon East, Ontario, posted 14 points (8g, 6a) last week in a pair of lopsided victories for the Crusaders. In a 21-5 win over Lees-McRae, he would score four times and dish one assist. Wiedemann would close the week with four goals and five assists in a 29-3 victory over Chowan.

Wiedemann has 70 points on 44 goals and 26 assists on the season. His point total ranks second in the league, while his assist and goal total rank fourth and fifth, respectively.
