King Wins 2017 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship; King's Robertson and Pfeiffer's Holbrooks Named Co-Medalist
SNOW HILL, N.C. – King University took home the 2017 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday (Apr. 25) afternoon. King's Nicola Robertson and Pfeiffer University's Meghan Holbrooks were named 2017 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf co-medalist by shooting even par for 36 holes. The 2017 tournament was hosted by Barton College at Cutter Creek in Snow Hill, N.C.

The Tornado, who shot +33 as a team, narrowly defeated three-time defending champion Limestone by three strokes.
Robertson entered the final round of play sitting in second-place after shooting 72 in round one, while Holbrooks entered the day tied for fourth after shooting a 74 in the first round. Holbrooks would shoot a 70 in the second round, while Robertson would shoot a 72 to force a playoff for the individual crown.
Robertson and Holbrooks would be named co-medalist after rain made the fourth sudden death playoff hole unplayable.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College is currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
