Mount Olive's Hanle and Moncrief Named Conference Carolinas Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.University of Mount Olive's Leah Hanle and Taylor Moncrief have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for meets held Apr. 17-23, the Conference announced today.

A freshman from Lichtenstein, Germany, Hanle picked up a win for the Trojans at the Duke Invite hosted by Duke University. She would win the 3000 meter steeplechase and break the UMO record with a time of 10:26.04, which also set an NCAA Division II Provisional time.

Moncrief, a freshman from Jacksonville, N.C., had a good showing for the Trojans at the Duke Invite hosted by Duke University. She finished 20th and broke the UMO school record in the high jump with a distance of 1.58 meters, while finishing 27th in the long jump with a distance of 5.33 meters.
