2017 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse All-Conference and Major Awards Announced
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College's Shannon Sisk was voted the 2017 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Year. University of Mount Olive's Hailey Dobbins garnered Defensive Player of the Year, while teammate Jackie Kaderabek was named the Freshman of the Year. In addition, Limestone's Scott Tucker was tabbed Coach of the Year, the Conference announced today.
Sisk, a junior from Brooklin, Ontario, has led Limestone’s potent attack with 106 points (27g, 79a) while also picking up 32 ground balls and caused 15 turnovers during the regular season. Sisk currently leads the nation in assists and assists per game.
Dobbins, a sophomore from Syracuse, N.Y., put together a record-setting season in her first year with the Trojans. She amassed a single-season record 61 caused turnovers and 57 ground balls, while also collecting 62 draw controls. Dobbins also tallied five points (3g, 2a) and was a key contributor to UMO capturing its first Conference Carolinas regular season title this year.
Kaderabek, a freshman from Annapolis, Md., saw action in all 17 contests and recorded 68 points on 36 goals and 32 assists. She also scooped up 29 ground balls and had 14 caused turnovers.
In his 15th season at the helm of the Limestone women’s lacrosse team, Tucker has compiled a record of 242-52 with the Saints and an overall head coaching record of 263-63. This is his 11th Conference Coach of the Year and the seventh straight.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College is currently completing the NCAA DII membership process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
