Chowan's Lucci Named Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Chowan University forward Carolina Lucci has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 11-17, the Conference announced today. It marks her second straight POTW honor and Chowan's third straight.

Lucci, a freshman from Monaca, Pa., repeats as Conference Player of the Week after keeping the Hawks unbeaten (3-0-1, 2-0-0) on the year. In a 2-1 league win over Erskine, Lucci would collect all three of Chowan's points, dishing an assist to tie the match and then scoring the match-winning goal just 38 seconds into overtime.

Lucci currently leads the Conference in points (11), goals (5) and game-winning goals (3).
