Mount Olive's Hanle Named Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

 

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Mount Olive's Leah Hanle has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for races ran the week of Oct. 8 - 14, the Conference announced today. This marks Hanle's second POTW of the year and the third for Mount Olive.

Leah Hanle, a junior from Lichtenstein, Germany, finished second overall at the regionally competitive Royal Cross Country Challenge hosted by Queens University in Charlotte, N.C. with a new school record of 16:43 in the women's 5k run. Hanle crushed her previous PR and school record of 16:56 by a full 13 seconds. 

The 24th nationally ranked Trojans women's cross country team placed 6th out of 45 teams at the Royal Cross Country Challenge this past weekend.
