Two Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Players Named to D2CCA All-Region Team
WINGATE, N.C. - Barton College's Kaytlin Elkins and Emmanuel College's Julie de Blanck were Conference Carolinas' lone honorees on the 2018 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Southeast Region team, the Association announced Wednesday (Nov. 14).
Elkins earned first team all-region honors after a stellar sophomore campaign. She was a first team all-conference pick and led the Conference with 4.81 kills per set and added 2.86 digs per set.
De Blanck collected a second team all-region nod after a great senior season. She was named the 2018 Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year and a first team all-conference selection. She was third in Conference Carolinas with 3.52 kills per set, while finishing the league-leader in both hitting percentage (.347) and blocks per set (.99).

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 11 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College is currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
