Two Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Players Named to AVCA All-Region Team
LEXINGTON, KY. - Barton College's Kaytlin Elkins and Emmanuel College's Julie de Blanck were Conference Carolinas' two honorees on the 2018 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II All-Southeast Region team, the Association announced today.
De Blanck was named the Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year while also earning first team all-conference accolades and leading Emmanuel to the regular season (South division) and tournament championships. She averaged 3.50 kills per set while hitting .341 to go along with .96 blocks and .35 aces per set.
Elkins was tabbed a first team all-conference selection with her play in 2018. She averaged 4.81 kills per set to go with 2.87 digs per set.
