Converse's Trent Named Conference Carolinas Women's Swimmer of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Converse College's Olivia Trent has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Swimmer of the Week for meets swam during the week of Oct. 29 - Nov. 4, the Conference announced today.
A freshman from Evansville, Ind., Trent registered two first-place finishes and one second-place finish while leading the Valkyries to a split of its tri-meet with Chowan and Mars Hill.
In the tri-meet, Trent would pick up an individual win in the 50-yard freestyle (25.29), while leading the relay team to a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:55.13). She would then place second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.82.
Also nominated for Women's Swimmer of the Week:
Karolina Ostojska (Emmanuel) - One first-place finish and two second-place finishes in three races.
Marissa Mann (Chowan) - Two second-place finishes in two races.
